Project Engineer
Schwarz are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. You’ll work alongside leading engineers, construction specialists, and environmentalists, contributing to cutting-edge projects in renewable energy, civil construction, and infrastructure.

- Lead and manage civil construction projects ensuring adherence to quality, safety, budget, and timelines.
- Prepare, manage, and monitor project schedules and budgets, including detailed cost tracking and reporting.
- Oversee project documentation including quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC), variation management, and progress claims.
- Provide technical expertise, advice, and guidance on project execution, methodologies, and design interpretation.
- Mentor and supervise engineering and site personnel, fostering technical competence and professional growth.
- Review and approve technical project documents and drawings.
- Coordinate and liaise effectively with internal stakeholders including project managers, construction managers, and site engineers.
- Manage external stakeholder relationships, including subcontractors and clients, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and Schwarz's operational policies and procedures.
- Uphold and actively promote a safety-first culture across all project activities, ensuring safe work practices and environments.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer within civil construction, preferably within infrastructure, energy, or mining sectors.
- Demonstrated capability in managing multiple project deliverables within tight timeframes.
- Strong understanding of civil construction standards, specifications, and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Leadership capability with experience mentoring and managing teams.
- High-level proficiency in project management software and computer applications.
- Commitment to maintaining a safety-first culture.
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering
- Current Australian Driver's License (Car)
- Construction Industry White Card
- Ability to travel regularly within Central Queensland as project demands.
