Project Engineer

Schwarz are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. You’ll work alongside leading engineers, construction specialists, and environmentalists, contributing to cutting-edge projects in renewable energy, civil construction, and infrastructure.

• Lead and manage civil construction projects ensuring adherence to quality, safety, budget, and timelines.
• Prepare, manage, and monitor project schedules and budgets, including detailed cost tracking and reporting.
• Oversee project documentation including quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC), variation management, and progress claims.
• Provide technical expertise, advice, and guidance on project execution, methodologies, and design interpretation.
• Mentor and supervise engineering and site personnel, fostering technical competence and professional growth.
• Review and approve technical project documents and drawings.
• Coordinate and liaise effectively with internal stakeholders including project managers, construction managers, and site engineers.
• Manage external stakeholder relationships, including subcontractors and clients, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and Schwarz's operational policies and procedures.
• Uphold and actively promote a safety-first culture across all project activities, ensuring safe work practices and environments.

About You:

• Proven experience as a Project Engineer within civil construction, preferably within infrastructure, energy, or mining sectors.
• Demonstrated capability in managing multiple project deliverables within tight timeframes.
• Strong understanding of civil construction standards, specifications, and regulatory compliance.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Leadership capability with experience mentoring and managing teams.
• High-level proficiency in project management software and computer applications.
• Commitment to maintaining a safety-first culture.
• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering
• Current Australian Driver's License (Car)
• Construction Industry White Card
• Ability to travel regularly within Central Queensland as project demands.
