Presbyterian Ladies’ College (PLC) is a leading ELC to Year 12 Christian independent day and boarding school, focusing on the development of the whole person. The College has an outstanding academic tradition, an international outlook and robust pastoral and co-curricular programs.
The Role
At PLC, over 700 students undertake instrumental tuition, and participate in ensembles which include a full Symphony orchestra, wind bands, string orchestras, stage and jazz bands, and pipes and drums.
We are currently seeking an experienced Flute Teacher commencing in the role at 0.2 FTE but with potential to increase.
This position involves teaching Years 3-12 students in both one-to-one and small group lessons in the Junior and Senior School as well as taking part in the Co-curricular Music Program of the College.
About You
You are a dynamic music educator with a proven record of excellence in both teaching and performing.
You will demonstrate a high level of performance ability and teaching experience along with a thorough understanding of the pedagogical principles of both general music education and more specifically, flute playing and teaching.
Experience in conducting flute ensembles or concert bands would be viewed favourably.
