Outdoor Education Teacher

The Role

Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School invites suitably qualified and experienced outdoor educators to join our dedicated team at the Eildon Camp in a part-time (0.6) fixed-term position for the 2025 school year, working Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

This position is commencing from 28 January 2025 to 12 December 2025.

Applicants will have the following:

• Teaching qualifications and VIT registration
• Relevant Outdoor Education qualifications and experience across a range of activities; accreditation in ropes and wilderness first aid is advantageous
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships with students and staff
• A commitment to child safety and student welfare, including demonstrating an understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children with diverse needs and backgrounds
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Effective organisational and planning skills

VIT registration, a current criminal record check, eligibility to work in Australia and a current driver's license are required for this role.

The School
