Merchandise Sales - Rural Products

About the role:

We have a fantastic opportunity now available in our Toowoomba AgriSolutions Store for an experienced, enthusiastic and organised, self-starter to join our team on a permanent part time basis two days per week - Monday and Friday with the flexibility to work a Saturday roster as required.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

• Provide agricultural advisory and sales service to clients and build business partnerships with our customer base through the provision of sound technical advice. 
• Proactively source new customers to achieve branch KPI’s and sales targets. 
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receipting, stocktake and dispatch.
• Processing of sales and generating quotes.

About you:

You will need to be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with great customer service and sales experience. Able to meet deadlines whilst balancing a range of work and have a keen interest in an agricultural environment.

Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:

• Strong customer service and sales experience.
• Experience working in a rural retail and warehousing environment (highly desirable).
• Demonstrated understanding of the rural industry.
• Technical skills in Agricultural Science, Animal Health or Agronomy are an advantage.
• Demonstrated excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy skills including Microsoft office, POS and administration skills.
• Physically fit to perform the manual handling aspects of the role.
• A strong focus on Work Health & Safety.
• Drivers licence essential.
• Forklift licence or willingness to get one.
