About the role:We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly organised Category Manager to join our busy AgriSolutions Commercial team.  This full time role can be based either in Lismore, NSW or Labrador on the Gold Coast, QLD.As the Category Manager you will have strategic and operational oversight over the procurement and marketing of a number of key product categories for the AgriSolutions retail business. Key responsibilities:Management of allocated categories which may include - animal health, agricultural, chemical, post-harvest products, fencing and fertilizer.Manage trading agreements and relationships with strategic suppliers.Manage and ensure implementation of strategic buying directions, in partnership with Norco’s strategic buying group to create strong and competitive commercial outcomes for the retail network.Drive and organise collated seasonal purchases across the network to secure advantageous price positions while securing supply for key product lines.Drive network engagement and alignment in procurement, creating an inclusive and open environment for procurement within the network.Responsible for driving and engaging in marketing activities and events with key strategic suppliers for designated categories, working closely with the Marketing Manager and other stakeholders as required.Management of advertising and promotional funds held by 3rd parties.Drive and implement relevant continuous improvement and transactional excellence programs, in procurement and marketing activities across the network.Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:Experience in the Agricultural industry essential.Experience in Category Management highly desirable.Well-developed communication and relationship management skills to liaise with suppliers, branches, staff members and other stakeholders as required.Proven negotiation and influencing skillsPrevious account management experience.Proven ability to drive and achieve commercial outcomes in procurement, marketing, promotional activities and people engagement.Commercial acumen to provide purchasing and stock management solutions that all value to the business.Analytical ability to transform dataAbility to analyse BI data to evaluate and drive strategic business decision making.Willingness and openness to drive change with ambition to grow with a transforming businessExceptional organisation skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficient in the use of MS Office suite.Why should you join the team at Norco?Work for a successful, secure and reputable Australian companyBe a part of a friendly, supportive and hardworking teamAccess to our free and confidential Employee Assistance ProgramEnjoy a competitive salary A full time positionImmediate start availableAbout us:Norco is a 100% Australian, Farmer Owned Dairy Co-Operative that supports our communities and customers through a ground up approach.
