The School aims to educate students to become confident, well-educated young women, girls and boys and we pride ourselves on providing a personalised, holistic education with a focus on academic excellence.THE OPPORTUNITYA short 30-minute drive from Brisbane, the School’s heritage-listed campus is conveniently located in the middle of Ipswich.  We offer the opportunities of a large city, with the quiet feel of a smaller town.We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and energetic administrator to support the requirements and function of the School’s CFO & Board of Trustees.  In this role you will be a key member of the secretariat and governance function supporting the CFO in managing and supporting the Board of Trustees.The Board of Trustees meet monthly with separate meetings held for various Board committees.  This is a busy role where you will carry out a wide range of secretarial and clerical duties; prepare and complete board papers, minute taking and preparation of associated action lists, reports, agendas and other documentation for Board of Trustees and Sub-Committees; administer the cyclical Board reconstitution process; provide administrative support to the CFO and Chair of the Board; and arrange appointments and diaries and prepare confidential and general correspondence.  This is a busy role with competing priorities so the ability to manage this type of environment, with multiple stakeholders will be key to your success.This is a flexible part-time role (37.5 hrs per fortnight) required to be present for the School for Board and Committee meetings.  The days and hours are not set so can be flexible to suit the requirements of the position.  It will ideally suit someone who has strong administrative support experience, can work flexibility with the Board Secretary and Chair, works well with variety and the flexibility to work outside of ‘normal’ corporate/school hours as all the Board meetings are undertaken after 5.00pm.With the diverse needs of the Board, this role requires a willingness to be flexible with time and task variety, the ability to prioritise work efficiently, ability to work with discretion and confidentiality and a commitment to teamwork.Evening and the occasional weekend work are required to support Board meetings.WHAT YOU WILL BRINGTo be successful in this role, it is envisaged that you will be highly organised, with a positive ‘can do’ attitude, as well as:Demonstrated previous experience working in a role where you provided administrative support to middle management or executive managers, with Board type experience being highly regarded.High level oral and written skills with highly effective verbal and listening communication skills.Experience collating Board and Committee Papers or similar (e.g., executive reports, etc.).Experience preparing meeting minutes.An understanding of government and board procedures and the ability to work outside of core business hours as required to support the Board of Trustee meetings and requirements.Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.Strong understanding and application of the Microsoft Office suite of software products including word, excel, power point, outlook and learning management systems.Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including the correct use of English punctuation, grammar, and corporate styling.High level of personal integrity, professionalism, discretion, confidentiality, and initiativeProven ability acting in a liaison role between multiple stakeholders where discretion and judgement are required in relation to planning, actions and achieving outcomes.Be the holder of, or can obtain, a Working with Children Suitability Card (Blue Card).Culture fit and attitude are also highly important to us, so a passion for the work you do and the ability to understand and work within our vision, mission and values is paramount to your success in this role.APPLY NOW If this sounds like you and you are interested in joining a highly respected school community, click the APPLY NOW button via SEEK and provide a copy of your CV, three referees, and a cover letter addressed to the Chief Financial Officer outlining your experience as it relates to this role.
