As Southeast Queensland’s only co-educational primary Grammar school, Ipswich Junior Grammar provides a high quality, non-denominational education for boys and girls from Kindergarten to Year 6.
Ipswich Junior Grammar School’s Early Education Centre (EEC) is our fun and friendly co-educational community of young learners with an intimate, family atmosphere where children are supported to develop physically, socially, and cognitively. It is a well-resourced, caring, and vibrant environment which promotes curiosity, persistence, self-confidence, and positivity.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The EEC has a fantastic opportunity for experienced, energetic, and dedicated Lead Educators and Educators to join our team in a casual capacity.
In these roles, you will foster positive outcomes for children and families by supporting the delivery of the EEC curriculum. This will involve utilising the Early Years Learning Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines with age-appropriate pedagogy. Working in a coeducational learning environment, you will primarily engage with children aged 3 years through to school age, guided by the ethos and values of the Centre.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
To be successful in these roles, you will have a willingness to support the values and aims of the community and possess the following: -
- Educators – Certificate III in the early childhood area (or its equivalent) from an accredited tertiary institution, working towards will be considered.
- Lead Educators - Diploma qualification in the early childhood area (or its equivalent) from an accredited tertiary institution plus experience in a similar role.
- Eligibility to work in Australia and be the holder or, or can obtain, a Working with Children Suitability Card (Blue Card).
- Current knowledge or and demonstrated experience using the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Early Years Learning Framework is required.
- The ability to promote an environment of dynamic, active, and responsive strategies to support and extend on children’s learning.
- Proven ability to foster positive self confidence and self-esteem in children and to act as a role model in presentation, action, and communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with highly developed organisational, communication and administrative skills.
