THE OPPORTUNITY
A short 30-minute drive from Brisbane, the School’s, heritage-listed campus is conveniently located in the middle of Ipswich. We offer the opportunities of a large city, with the more community feel of a smaller town.
The Director of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction, and oversight of ICT services across the School. This is a senior role, reporting through to the Chief Financial Officer, that ensure that ICT systems, infrastructure and digital innovation aligns with the School’s Strategic Plan. A key focus of the ICT team is to enhance teaching, learning and the operational efficiencies across the campus.
In this varied role, you will focus on,
- Planning, developing, maintaining, managing, and administering the School's database management systems, operating systems and security policies and procedures to ensure optimal database and system integrity, security, backup, reliability, and performance.
- Ensuring the design of the school’s technological environment to allow all components to work correctly and monitor and adjust the performance of the school’s network if required.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and leverage this knowledge to offer recommendations that ensure the ongoing security and stability of the school's infrastructure.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
You will be a strategic leader experienced in leading complex enterprises in an ICT context, and with a proven track record of building and empowering successful teams, possess a passion for customer service and excel at collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the School.
To be successful in this role, you will be a highly motivated and energetic IT professional, with the ability to demonstrate:
- Tertiary qualification in ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or a related field.
- Extensive leadership experience in ICT at a senior level, preferably within an educational or complex multi-site organisation.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic ICT planning, digital transformation, and project management.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale ICT infrastructure, enterprise systems, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Strong financial and resource management skills, including ICT budgeting and contract negotiations.
- High-level experience in stakeholder engagement, including working with school Executive, vendors, and educational leaders.
- Eligibility to work in Australia and be a holder of, or have the ability to obtain, a Working with Children Suitability Card (Blue Card).
