Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School including Ipswich Junior Grammar School offers high quality, non-denominational education to students from Kindy to Year 12 (co-education from Kindy to Year 6, girls only Years 7-12). Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School is seeking casual Relief Teachers to support the School on an as needs basis.
The successful applicants will work as part of an energetic team committed to excellence and the provision of an effective teaching and learning environment for students. This includes the delivery of teaching and learning programs within the frameworks in place in the School; fostering a supportive classroom climate which enhances student growth and confidence; and maintaining accurate records as required.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience developing and delivering comprehensive German language academic programs, and
- Be passionate about teaching and enriching the learning experience of students and demonstrated capacity and skills and/or experience teaching in a Secondary School.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to integrate technology into effective classroom practice.
- Capacity to plan and deliver engaging lessons that integrate the Quality Teaching model and maximise the learning outcomes for students with diverse learning needs.
- Demonstrate highly effective communication skills in both speaking and writing.
- Highly developed interpersonal, and human-relations skills in the context of relating to staff, students, and parents.
- Demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively and be an effective team member.
- Eligibility to work in Australia with relevant teaching qualifications and current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the Queensland College of Teachers being highly regarded.
