We are an inclusive meritocracy where anyone with expertise, passion and drive to deliver results can achieve success.Due to our growth, Ferrycarrig Construction is seeking experienced Drainers/Pipelayers to join our team on projects throughout Sydney and NSW.Excellent salary on offerGet involved with large and high-profile civil infrastructure projects in SydneyWork with a progressive, and fast-growing business that rewards initiativeJoin a friendly and supportive team environment with a sense of communityAbout the RoleStudy blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of stormwater and sewerage systemsExcavate and level to line, depth, and grade according to drawings and specifications.Set out and install below-ground concrete and PVC sanitary and stormwater pipes.Carry out site drainage and de-watering procedures, employing stormwater, sub-soil, and pump systems.Test drainage systems.Locate and clear blockages in below-ground systems.Install excavation supports in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements.Dig trenches to desired or required depths by hand or using trenching tools or machinery.Check slopes for conformance to requirements.Cut pipes to required lengths.Align and position pipes to prepare them for sealing.Connect pipe pieces and seal joints using cement.Cover pipes with earth or other materialsAbout YouTo be suitable for the role, you will hold a relevant Drainage/Plumbing trade qualification or have at least 3 years of relevant experience.The salary range is $60,000- $90,000 which is based on your experience.
