As home to 5 sporting teams, we run our AFL men’s and women’s programs, VFL women’s and men’s programs, and a wheelchair football team. But we’re more than the game. To do this, we have strong commercial partnerships and innovate with non-traditional ventures, such as our Essendon Education Academy and EFC Investment Fund, so that we can deliver world class events, give back to our fans, run community programs and ultimately, strive toward our next premiership.  About the roleAs our AFLW Strength & Conditioning Coach you’ll be responsible for managing the physical development of the AFLW playing group. You will assist the Head of Strength & Conditioning with programming, player monitoring, data collection, rehabilitation, and injury prevention processes for the team. Working closely with the Head Physio to provide assistance with rehabilitation and program planning for individual players transitioning from injury rehab, back into the playing group. You will also manage the use of GPS data within the AFLW program. Please note this role is a part time and maximum term position during the AFLW season.About youWith a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or equivalent and a Level 1 ASCA accreditation, you will have experience working within an elite team sport environment. You’ll pride yourself in your strong attention to detail and your ability to program and plan for individual elite athletes. Bringing a high level of energy to the team, you’ll have the ability to communicate clearly with all stakeholders and be able to remain calm and effective when faced with challenges. Experience working with female athletes is desirable but not essential.The PerksOur work doesn’t always fit the 9 to 5. Your life doesn’t always fit the hours around it.
