Key to the role will be the implementation and maintenance of safety systems and initiatives as well as close collaboration and liaison with our key contracting partners to facilitate safety assurance and ensure the safety of our workforce.This is fantastic opportunity for a health and safety management professional to gain exceptional career growth opportunities whilst working on a historic Queensland infrastructure project. Reporting directly to the Director, Safety and based at our corporate office conveniently located in Brisbane’s CBD, this opportunity will offered as a two-year fixed term contract with possible extensionKey responsibilities:Collaborate with project teams to establish a safety-focused culture and set clear safety performance expectations and standards.Develop and implement safety processes and initiatives to foster safety ownership among line managers.Provide technical safety advice and support in the areas of critical risk management, incident investigation reviews and safety process implementation.Coordinate safety compliance and assurance activities, providing analysis and reporting on outcomes.Contribute to the development and implementation of CRRDA’s Health and Safety management system.Oversee and review the process and outcomes of safety incident investigations sharing best practices across the project.Prepare high level correspondence and reports with a strategic and operational safety focus.Establish safety forums and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors to deliver services aligned with CRRDA needs and priorities.Review safety systems and identify business improvement activities, risk mitigation strategies and supporting treatment plans.About YouTertiary qualifications in a safety related discipline.Experience leading contractor safety management within the construction or mining industry.
