Reporting to the Director Support Services, the role provides operational leadership and delegated authority for day‑to‑day technical decision‑making, ensuring the effective delivery of secure, reliable ICT services aligned with organisational objectives.The role leads a team of cloud engineers and technical specialists, balancing business expectations, operational risk and available resources while driving service quality, performance and continuous improvement.This opportunity is offered as a fixed term contract until 31st March 2028 with possibility of extensionKey Responsibilities:Lead and manage cloud engineers and technical specialists supporting our hybrid ICT environments including, performance, KPI and development Planning.Exercise delegated authority for technical operational decisions, risk acceptance and resource prioritisation Ensure service availability, incident resolution and SLA performance targets are met Oversee vendor relationships, capacity planning, backups and disaster recovery testing Manage change processes for infrastructure, applications and system upgrades Ensure compliance with security, audit and governance requirements Report on technical operations performance, risk posture and improvement initiatives Maintain operational documentation, runbooks and standard operating procedures Drive continuous improvement through automation, monitoring and efficiency initiatives About You:Demonstrated experience in technical operations within a corporate enterprise environment Proven capability leading complex ICT operations functions, balancing operational risk, service delivery and business priorities Experience in a senior or leadership role within an ICT team, including mentoring and supporting staff performance Strong experience managing incident response, operational change and service continuity using recognised service management practices (e.g. ITIL) Sound understanding of security, compliance and disaster recovery practices in hybrid and cloud environments Well‑developed communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with executives and stakeholders Relevant tertiary and/or professional qualifications in ICT or a related disciplineWhy work with CRRDA?On Cross River Rail you will not only work with the best but become your best.
