These include accessibility rebuilds for eight surface stations, construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast; upgrades for stabling yards; track works and surface rail enhancements; and the introduction of a new ETCS digital signalling system. About the RoleThe Senior Commercial Manager – Integration leads the Delivery Authority’s commercial management of cross-package, interface and integration matters across the Cross River Rail program. Reporting to the General Counsel, Delivery, the role sits within the Legal and Commercial leadership group and contributes to senior-level decision making on complex commercial issues.The primary focus is to advise on the management and mitigation of commercial and contractual risks arising from the integration of infrastructure, systems and assets delivered under multiple contracts are brought together into a single operational railway ready for Day 1 services. This includes providing senior commercial leadership and strategic advice to address cross-package interfaces and issues, particularly where contractual scope, access issues, testing programs or contractual drivers, including incentive arrangements, may create points of misalignment between delivery partners .Working closely with the Lead Integrator and delivery teams, you will set and coordinate the Delivery Authority’s commercial position on integration and interface matters, ensuring positions are commercially sound, defensible and aligned with program objectives and contractual guardrails.This is a rare opportunity to influence program-wide commercial outcomes as the project moves toward Day 1 operations. Operating at the centre of a complex, multi-party environment, you will shape how major delivery packages are aligned into a functioning railway, with direct visibility to executive stakeholders and meaningful impact on the program’s final delivery phase.This opportunity is offered as a fixed term contract until November 2028 with possible extension. Key Responsibilities:Lead the Commercial Integration team with primary responsibility for managing cross-package, interface and program-wide commercial issues.Set and coordinate the Delivery Authority’s commercial position on matters across TSD, RIS, ETCS and other delivery contracts, ensuring alignment to contractual frameworks and program objectives.Identify, assess and manage commercial risks arising from integration, interface and scope nexus issues, including impacts to time, cost, quality and liability.Formulate and lead commercial approaches to resolving complex multi-party issues involving contractors, alliance partners, the Lead Integrator, Queensland Rail, and TMR including management of existing cross-package agreements.Provide clear and practical advice to senior leaders on commercial pathways, trade-offs and risk exposure where delivery outcomes are at risk.Lead or support major commercial transactions and contractual adjustments associated with integration outcomes, including incentive mechanisms and variations with program-wide impact.Act as the primary commercial interface with the Lead Integrator and represent the Delivery Authority in senior-level negotiations and forums relating to integration and interface matters.Ensure contractual rights and entitlements are protected while enabling collaborative, delivery-focused solutions.Promote strong commercial governance frameworks, compliance and assurance processes across integration-related matters.Lead, develop and mentor the Commercial Integration team, fostering capability, accountability and high professional standards. About You:Significant experience (typically 12+ years) in senior commercial, contracts or legal roles within large infrastructure or complex construction environments.Relevant tertiary qualification in Law, Engineering, Construction Management, Business or related discipline, or equivalent experience.Demonstrated experience leading commercial strategy for cross package, interface or multi-party issues.
