It includes the delivery of four new underground stations, two new above-ground stations, accessibility rebuilds for six stations, the construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, and the introduction of a new world-class ‘ETCS' signalling system.This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work on one of Australia's largest infrastructure projects and to be a part of something that will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.About the RoleThe Safety Manager is responsible for providing leadership, support, and guidance on safety matters for the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority’s (CRRDA) Tunnels Stations & Development (TSD) program. The successful candidate will lead the implementation of CRRDA safety systems and initiatives across the project, supporting and coaching senior management on contemporary safety practices. Additionally, the role involves coordinating safety assurance activities with CCRDA’s contracting partners.This position is based in CRRDA’s Corporate Brisbane office and reports directly to the Director of Safety. This opportunity is offered as a full-time fixed-term contract for two years, with the potential for extension.Key Responsibilities:Lead and set the cultural tone for safety performance across the project.Develop and implement safety processes that encourage safety ownership by line managers.Provide technical safety advice on critical risk management and incident investigation.Coordinate safety compliance and assurance activities and analyse/report outcomes.Develop and implement the CRRDA’s H&S management system across TSD through all project phases.Oversee safety incident investigations and promote best practices.Prepare strategic and operational safety correspondence, including briefing notes and reports.Establish safety forums and liaise with stakeholders to meet CRRDA needs.Identify business improvement activities and risk mitigation strategies.Act as a safety role model and advocate for continuous improvement.About You:Tertiary qualification in a safety-related discipline.Proven experience in construction or mining safety management, especially contractor safety.Strong ability to manage complex relationships and influence positive safety cultures.Demonstrated experience with risk analysis and safety data interpretation.Knowledge of critical risks and verification processes in dynamic environments.Proven ability to influence and coordinate diverse stakeholders.Experience leading safety from a client perspective. Why work with CRRDA?On Cross River Rail you will not only work with the best but become your best.
