These include accessibility rebuilds for eight surface stations, construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast; upgrades for stabling yards; track works and surface rail enhancements; and the introduction of a new ETCS digital signalling system.About the RoleThe ICT Technical Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the effective, secure and reliable operation of the Delivery Authority’s technical infrastructure and services. Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager and working within the Support Services team, the role provides authoritative technical expertise across network, connectivity and cloud collaboration platforms.This role leads complex operational support activities, incident response and technical administration, working collaboratively with internal teams, vendors and stakeholders to resolve issues, implement change and drive service improvements.This opportunity is offered as a fixed‑term contract until 31/03/2028 with possibility of extension.Key Responsibilities:Deliver operational support, incident resolution and root‑cause analysis across network and connectivity services Lead approved technical changes, including design input, testing, risk assessment and validation Administer and support Microsoft 365 collaboration services, including SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams Provide hands‑on support for enterprise network infrastructure including switching, firewalls and wireless networks Monitor service health and performance, proactively identifying issues and improvement opportunities Apply and maintain security controls and operational standards to support cyber security and compliance Support unified communications and AV systems, including meeting room and collaboration technologies Provide technical leadership and mentoring to uplift capability and improve technical practices About You:You are an experienced technical professional with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to exercise independent judgement in complex environments.
