Cross River Rail will transform the way we travel to, from and through Brisbane in the future. It will be a catalyst for 10 years of wider rail transformation across the whole of South East Queensland and it is already playing a key role in how we prepare for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD. It includes the delivery of four new underground stations, two new above-ground stations, accessibility rebuilds for six stations, the construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, and the introduction of a new world-class ‘ETCS' signalling system.

About the Role
As a Finance Officer within CRRDA’s Financial Accounting & Procurement team, you will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and ensuring efficient and accurate transaction processing. Reporting to the Principal Finance Officer, this position is offered as a contract until December 2026 with possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including supplier master data maintenance, invoice matching, goods receipting, and supplier account and credit card reconciliations.
- Manage payment runs to ensure timely and accurate supplier payments.
- Maintain Supplier Masterfile records in TechnologyOneProvide customer-focused support and enhance administrative finance systems.
- Manage the Finance team’s shared email inbox and manage related workflows.
- Resolve exceptions and respond to queries to ensure timely payment
- Maintain data accuracy and integrity across financial and document management systems.
- Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with finance policies and procedures.
- Prepare AP reporting including KPI reports, outstanding workflow reports and the annual taxable payments arrangements reporting (TPAR)
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll demonstrate:
- Extensive experience managing end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice matching, payment scheduling, and maintaining compliance with financial controls and policies.
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills, ensuring high-volume transactions are handled accurately, deadlines are consistently met, and root causes of queries and exceptions are efficiently identified and resolved.
- Ability to balance multiple competing priorities, effectively managing operational demands alongside ad hoc tasks.
- A proven ability to maintain productive relationships with stakeholders to drive process improvements, resolve challenges collaboratively, and improve financial practices.
