About The Role:
As the City Arborist, you will play an important technical role that is responsible for expert aboricultural advice across Council. As a subject matter expert in arboriculture, you will conduct tree assessments, assess development applications, have oversight of tree planting programs, and ensure the health and sustainability of the City of Charles Sturt’s trees; all with the knowledge that your role has a direct contribution to our Community Vision outcome of Valuing Nature.

About Our Team:
City Maintenance are equipped to care for open spaces across our beaches, reserves and parks, ensuring they are maintained and up to standard. This diverse portfolio is passionate and skilled in areas including property management and repair, irrigation, biodiversity, arboriculture, trees and sports turf, as well as program scheduling and contract support.
The Trees and Irrigation team is responsible for the development, enhancement and maintenance of trees and streetscapes, recreational reserves and sporting grounds. The team manage programmed and reactive work that involves detailed street tree pruning and care, and quality irrigation systems for attractive landscapes.
The Detail:
The position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis. Classification will be Level 6 or Level 7 commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
The annual base salary for Level 6 is $108,727, and $119,565 for Level 7, + super + annual leave loading.
