Equipment & Calibration Technician

Working at ATCO Gas, you’ll play a key role in maintaining our equipment, tools and specialised gear to support safe and reliable gas network operations.The Equipment & Calibration Technician is responsible for managing the equipment shed, including inspection, maintenance and calibration of tools used across the gas distribution system. What You’ll Bring

Qualifications

  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Gas Fitting, Outdoor Power Equipment Technology or similar (preferred)
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Relevant tickets/licences (e.g. forklift, HIAB)
  • Electrical test and tag competency (desirable)
  • Calibration or instrumentation experience (desirable)

Experience

  • Experience in fitting and assembly within gas, utilities, construction or maintenance environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with tools, equipment and specialised apparatus
  • Exposure to calibration, inspection and asset maintenance activities
  • Solid understanding of safe work practices, risk management and compliance
  • Experience working with field crews, contractors and stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage records and documentation accurately
