Registered Nurse – Ironbark Outdoor Education Centre

The College’s iconic Ironbark program provides compulsory five-week programs in Year 9 aimed at challenging students physically, socially, intellectually and spiritually. Ironbark operates four main elements in the program including Outdoor Pursuits, Farm Skills, Environmental Awareness and Community Living.We are seeking a part time Registered Nurse (23 hours per week term time) to work within a dedicated team to deliver memorable, life-changing experiences for our students. The successful candidate will provide health care to students (and staff) including both physical and mental health during the Ironbark programs. Like all other Ironbark positions, this role will be part of delivering the student program and also may include broader responsibilities such as supervising and working with students in the Jobs program (farm duties and animal care) as well as pastoral activities, dorm supervision and celebratory milestones in the program.The successful candidate will be required to work within a 5 week roster, predominantly over Tuesdays – Thursdays.  This is a short term leave cover contract position (with a possibility of extension).
