St Peters’ iconic Ironbark Outdoor Education Program is a lived experience of more beyond. A unique journey of self-discovery, this experience is a defining moment in the character formation of each student.
Ironbark program provides compulsory five-week programs in Year 9 aimed at challenging students physically, socially, intellectually and spiritually. Ironbark operates four main elements in the program including Outdoor Pursuits, Farm Skills, Environmental Awareness and Community Living.
We are seeking a part time Registered Nurse to work within a dedicated team to deliver memorable, life-changing experiences for our students. The successful candidate will provide health care to students (and staff) including both physical and mental health during the Ironbark programs. Like all other Ironbark positions, this role will be part of delivering the student program and also may include broader responsibilities such as supervising and working with students in the Jobs program (farm duties and animal care) as well as pastoral activities, dorm supervision and celebratory milestones in the program.
The successful candidate will be required to work within a 5 week roster, which will include working one day / week plus the staff preparation day at the start of each 5 week program and the graduation day at the end of each program. This is a permanent, part time position working term time (42 weeks / year). This position will share a roster with another Registered Nurse who works 4 days / week.
