We ask our students and employees to embrace our motto of ‘Plus Ultra’ and contribute to Challenging Minds | Nurturing Hearts | Building Futures.Ironbark operates 5-week courses throughout the year for the college’s Year 9 students, in a natural bush environment, incorporating outdoor adventure activities and a mixed working farm.We are seeking a full time Outdoor Educator to work within a dedicated team to deliver memorable, life-changing experiences for our students.About you:You possess relevant qualifications in Outdoor Recreation or equivalent skills, knowledge and experienceYou have demonstrated knowledge or experience in leading two or more of the following: bushwalking, orienteering, rock climbing, abseiling, initiatives, high or low ropesYou have experience working with teenagers and possess sound knowledge of the issues surrounding adolescence and their impact on personal development.You are able to build and maintain quality relationships with students, staff and other stakeholders in a diverse settingYou are able to deal with sensitive issues and information in a confidential mannerYou embrace opportunities to reflect upon your professional experience and further develop your own skills and knowledge across a variety of different areasYou identify with St Peter’s professional behaviours of trust, accountability, unconditional positive regard and open communication and feedback and apply these in all that you doYou value contributing to diverse and inclusive communities and accept the responsibility to uphold the Christian Ethos, including core values of care, dignity & respect.To learn more about Ironbark, visit our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/StPetersIronbark/ Position Description AUD Crows Nest 4355
