Outdoor Education Assistant

Wanting to gain some experience in the Outdoor Education industry but can’t find a way in? St Peters Lutheran College seeks a part-time Outdoor Education Assistant for 'Ironbark', the college's 800 hectare outdoor education centre located near Crows Nest, Queensland.Ironbark operates 5 week courses throughout the year for the college’s Year 9 students, in a natural bush environment, incorporating community living, outdoor adventure and a small, working mixed farm.The Outdoor Education Assistant will work across all aspects of the Ironbark program including farm work, outdoor adventure activities, horse riding, dormitory supervision and catering. In-house training  and mentoring will be provided for the successful applicant to assist all aspects of the Ironbark experience with the option to access subsidised certificate level industry training.This position is a part- time position working on average 4 days / week. It will be a contract until the end of 2019 with a possibility of extension beyond that.
