About the Role St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Teacher to support our Exceptional Learners department. You will play a central role in supporting students with recognised learning difficulties or disabilities to access the curriculum.Key Responsibilities Organise and provide learning support for identified students, diagnostically testing students as required, and coordinating Individual Support Plans.Develop and maintain positive relationships across the College, with students, colleagues, parents and external providers.Maintain confidentiality in regard to sensitive or private information.Monitor student progress and maintain accurate and comprehensive records of student assessment and progress.About Us St Peters Lutheran College is a Co-Educational Day and Boarding School of the Lutheran Church located on 52 acres just 7 kilometres from Brisbane CBD. What You Bring

  • Current Queensland Teacher Registration
  • Tertiary qualification in Learning Support/Special Education, and an understanding of Australian Curriculum, QCAA and learning support strategies
  • Experience supporting Senior School students (Years 10, 11 and 12) is highly desired
  • Sensitivity to student and parent concerns and ability to develop strategies to support educational needs
  • Proven ability to contribute to the identification and programming of students with learning needs
  • Commitment to the College’s Christian ethos and values
