About the Role

Commencing 22 June 2026 (or by negotiation), St Peters is seeking to appoint an outstanding Head of Academic Staff – Years 7–12.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will lead the development, performance and professional growth of Academic Staff across Years 7–12. Through visible, values-led leadership, you will mentor and support teachers, strengthen professional practice and help cultivate a high-performing culture of collaboration and excellence in teaching and learning.

Working closely with the People and Culture team, you will contribute to attracting, developing and retaining exceptional educators who inspire students to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the performance and development of Academic Staff across Years 7–12
  • Oversee the Academic Staff appraisal and professional growth framework
  • Lead recruitment and workforce planning for secondary teaching staff
  • Strengthen teacher capability through professional learning and development programs
  • Provide oversight of daily staffing operations and workforce planning
  • Champion a values-driven culture aligned with the College’s Christian ethos

The successful applicant must hold, or be eligible for, registration with the Queensland College of Teachers, possess relevant qualifications in education and leadership, and support the Christian ethos of St Peters.
