 About the Role

St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Australian Rules Football Head Coach to join our Sport Department. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape a dynamic program, driving success both on and off the field while making a meaningful impact on student development.

The Head Coach will drive the development of the Australian Rules program, fostering an inclusive team culture and delivering high-quality coaching, while collaborating with stakeholders and modelling the College’s values to ensure exceptional program delivery.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver effective training sessions and game strategies, supporting athlete skill development and performance progression
  • Foster a positive, inclusive team environment that promotes enjoyment, discipline, respect, and wellbeing
  • Lead and coordinate the program across the season, including training schedules, competition preparation, and resource management
  • Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, staff, and stakeholders, providing updates on progress and representing the program
  • Maintain up-to-date coaching knowledge and support the development of assistant coaches

What You Bring

  • A relevant coaching qualification and/or significant experience in a similar sports leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and developing athletes, with strong sport-specific knowledge
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, with strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Experience working collaboratively within a team to achieve shared goals and deliver outcomes
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and alignment with the College’s values and expected standards of conduct
  • Commitment to the College’s Christian ethos and values
