About the Role
St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Groundsperson to join our Facilities and Services team on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Grounds Team Leader, this role is key to maintaining the College’s grounds and outdoor infrastructure, ensuring our campus remains safe, functional, and presented to the highest standard to support daily College activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain grounds and outdoor areas to an exceptional standard, ensuring high presentation and minimal disruption to campus activities
- Perform mowing, edging, pruning, fertilising, pest management, green waste removal, and general grounds upkeep
- Undertake landscaping and garden improvement projects, including drainage, minor construction, paving, irrigation installation, soil preparation, and replanting
- Conduct routine and corrective maintenance on grounds equipment and machinery including twice daily pool maintenance
- Support the Grounds Team Leader and collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently
What You Bring
- Formal Qualifications and/or training in facilities or grounds maintenance such as horticulture, construction or a related field
- Strong hands-on experience in a similar grounds, facilities or trade-based maintenance role
- Experience in maintaining, fault finding and repairing grounds maintenance equipment
- Ability to quickly grasp industry-specific web applications for regular tasks checklists and service request actioning
- Ability to communicate and liaise with a wide variety of people throughout the College community
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
