About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to maintenance requests and prioritise work effectively to meet operational needs
  • Deliver a consistently high standard of workmanship with strong attention to detail
  • Work closely with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
  • Assist with maintenance projects, operational activities, and College events as required
  • Maintain accurate records of completed works through the College's service request system
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute practical solutions to enhance facilities and services
  • Respond to urgent or emergency maintenance requirements, including occasional after-hours work

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience as a Carpenter, preferably with a trade qualification and relevant school facilities experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality work and take pride in your craft
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Comfortable working autonomously when required, and as part of a collaborative team
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety practices
  • Current Queensland Driver Licence
  • Current Blue Card, or the ability to obtain one
