About the Role
St Peters Lutheran College is seeking an experienced professional to perform the full time contract position of Curriculum Leader Assistant (CLA) English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD) as (0.6 FTE) including International Student Officer duties (0.4 FTE).
The position works in close partnership with the Curriculum Leader and teaching staff to enhance EALD student learning and provide comprehensive support to students, families, and staff. In addition to performing the functions of International Student Officer, you will facilitate effective communication with international students, parents, and the College community, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience. This role requires a flexible, proactive communicator with strong organisational and reporting skills, committed to fostering a collaborative culture and achieving the highest standards of integrity and performance.
Key Responsibilities
In addition to Curriculum Leader Assistant responsibilities listed in the attached Position Description, this role is responsible to perform key International Student Officer functions including:
1. Compliance and Administration: Maintain accurate records of international students in accordance with CRICOS and ESOS requirements and Ensure the process for enrolment of FFPOS students under the National Code for Oversees Students (ESOS Act), is adhered to.
2. Admissions and Enrolment: Assess applications to ensure suitability of student academically and appropriate English as a second language level as it relates to the Oversees Student Policy.
3. Student Support and Welfare: Provide pastoral care and support for international students, ensuring their wellbeing and integration into school life.
4. Communication and Liaison: Collaborate with teachers, year coordinators, and support staff to monitor student progress
5. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare reports on student attendance, academic performance, and welfare.
