The position will play a vital role in maintaining the daily operations of the College’s housekeeping services. As a team member, you will deliver a high standard of cleaning and presentation across College facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that supports student wellbeing and aligns with the College’s Strategic Intent. Working to uphold the College’s standards of performance and integrity this role will require you to work both independently and collaboratively to foster a positive workplace culture. About the Role

Key Accountabilities 

  • Vacuuming and dusting 
  • Cleaning toilets/scrubbing bathrooms 
  • Vacuuming/sweeping/mopping floors
  • Stripping/sealing floors 
  • Cleaning common eating areas
  • Maintaining cleaning equipment and report any maintenance requirements
  • Reporting any damage to any of the facilities or buildings found within assigned cleaning areas
  • Reporting any hazards or potential safety issues
  • Using chemicals in proper proportions and correct strength
  • Manual and equipment handling 

What You Bring 

  • A High School Certificate or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience providing professional cleaning services, preferably in an educational environment
  • Experience in general cleaning practices including safe handling and the use of cleaning chemicals
  • Excellent communication skills with supervisors, colleagues and other members of the College community
  • Physically capable to perform certain requirements of the role such as manual handling
  • Commitment to professionalism and conduct in addition to the College’s Christian ethos and values
