Cafe Coordinator

We are seeking applications for a part-time, term-time Cafe Coordinator to manage operations of the Springfield Heart Cafe for a 12 month contract in 2021. The successful candidate would need to be available to commence from Monday 18 January 2020.Reporting to the Principal of our Springfield school and our Food Services Manager (based at Indooroopilly), the successful candidate will manage day to day operations of the Heart Cafe including ordering and liaising with suppliers, managing catering requests, themed days, coordinating maintenance of the Cafe and its equipment. The role is also responsible for planning meals and snacks that are nutritional and cater to dietary requirements for customers. In addition, the successful candidate must have experience with or be a qualified barista.There are two other team members who report in to this position, however this role is still highly customer facing.About you:You have demonstrated experience overseeing or working in a fast-paced cafĂ© environment. Experience in a school or university setting would be advantageous.You are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service at all timesYou have an understanding of Food Safety standards and are committed to ensuring a high level of personal hygiene and food safety at all timesYou possess excellent interpersonal skills and can communicate effectively and appropriately with students, staff, parents, volunteers, suppliers and other stakeholdersYou are highly organised and able to prioritise tasks based on operational requirements (planned and unplanned).You demonstrate high levels of personal initiative and accountabilityYou are able to work collaboratively and develop strong professional relationships with those around youYou already possess or are willing to obtain an "I’m Alert" Food Safety Certificate prior to commencing (free online food safety training course)You value contributing to diverse and inclusive communities and accept the responsibility to uphold the Christian Ethos, including core values of care, dignity & respectTo apply for this position, please submit your cover letter and resume via the link provided.
