You will contribute to the wellbeing of students by ensuring boarding houses remain clean, hygienic, secure and welcoming at all times.This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and be comfortable working both in a collaborative team but also independently when required.This is a permanent part-time role, working 75 hours per fortnight.  Key ResponsibilitiesClean and maintain boarding facilities to a high standardVacuum, sweep and mop floorsClean bathrooms, toilets and shared living spacesDust and detail accommodation areasRemove cobwebs, graffiti and other maintenance concernsClean outdoor furniture and surrounding walkwaysSafely use cleaning chemicals and equipmentIdentify and report maintenance issues, hazards and damageRespond to ad hoc cleaning requests as requiredAssist with holiday cleaning programs and broader school cleaning activitiesContribute to a safe workplace through sound housekeeping and WHS practicesAbout YouYou will bring:Minimum two years' experience in a professional cleaning or housekeeping role, preferably within a school settingA commitment to delivering exceptional cleaning standardsExperience operating cleaning equipment safely and effectivelyKnowledge of safe chemical handling practicesStrong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasksExcellent attention to detail and a proactive approachReliable, punctual and professional work habitsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsBasic computer skills, including Microsoft OfficeThe physical capacity to undertake manual handling dutiesAn understanding of confidentiality requirements within a boarding school environmentBe supportive of the Colleges Christian Ethos and valuesWhy Join St Peters?At St Peters Lutheran College, our staff play a vital role in creating an outstanding educational experience for our students. About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain boarding facilities to a high standard
  • Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
  • Clean bathrooms, toilets and shared living spaces
  • Dust and detail accommodation areas
  • Remove cobwebs, graffiti and other maintenance concerns
  • Clean outdoor furniture and surrounding walkways
  • Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Identify and report maintenance issues, hazards and damage
  • Respond to ad hoc cleaning requests as required
  • Assist with holiday cleaning programs and broader school cleaning activities
  • Contribute to a safe workplace through sound housekeeping and WHS practices
About You

You will bring:

  • Minimum two years' experience in a professional cleaning or housekeeping role, preferably within a school setting
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional cleaning standards
  • Experience operating cleaning equipment safely and effectively
  • Knowledge of safe chemical handling practices
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach
  • Reliable, punctual and professional work habits
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • The physical capacity to undertake manual handling duties
  • An understanding of confidentiality requirements within a boarding school environment
