In addition to managing, facilitating and developing the College’s physical and digital library resources, the Information Specialist plays an important role in improving student learning outcomes and building the capacity of staff to teach essential 21st century skills.Please refer to the attached position description for key information related to this position.ABOUT YOUIn addition to being able to lead the Key Responsibilities indicated in the position description, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate sound responses to the following selection criteria:EssentialTertiary qualifications in Education and/or Librarian or Information Studies or similar, plus evidence of continuous relevant post-graduate studyExperience and success in the promotion and advancement of literacy in a secondary school settingHighly developed research skillsDemonstrated ability in building dynamic and relevant partnerships to support program deliveryForward thinking and innovativeExceptional written and verbal communication skillsUnderstanding of Mercy traditions, and capacity to positively advance the mission and Mercy valuesDesirableExperience managing projects and resourcesAll employees are subject to appropriate employment and compliance checks prior to and during employment, including evidence of full Covid vaccination status.
