Royal on the Park is Brisbane’s leading independent hotel located in the CBD opposite the Botanic Gardens, and we're looking for someone who genuinely loves fixing things. Maybe you've worked in a hotel or commercial building before. Maybe you've renovated your own home, built things in your shed, or are the person your friends call when something breaks. Whatever your path, if you can diagnose a problem, pick the right tool and leave things better than you found them, we want to hear from you.
The Role
You'll work Tuesday to Saturday - giving you a weekday free to run errands and a weekend day to actually enjoy. You'll be part of a small, capable maintenance team, supported by the Maintenance Manager and a part-time Handyperson, carrying out day-to-day repairs and upkeep across guest rooms, public areas and hotel equipment.
What You'll Do
Work through daily scheduled tasks and repairs, respond to maintenance requests from hotel departments, carry out repair and patch work, painting and general property upkeep, record maintenance activities accurately and follow Workplace Health & Safety policies.
What You'll Bring
Hands-on experience with hand and power tools, a keen eye for diagnosing what's wrong and knowing how to fix it, and the ability to communicate clearly with the team. Plumbing knowledge is a bonus. A background in hotel maintenance is preferred, but not essential - we care more about your practical skills and your attitude.
