Royal on the Park hotel is a 4 ½ star independent property located in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD, and renowned for its warm atmosphere, professionalism and exceptional customer service.

A full-time opportunity now exists for a Finance Officer with a high level of initiative and the ability to work autonomously to join our small Finance team. A background in the hotel industry is desirable, however is not a deal breaker.

As the Finance Officer, your responsibilities include:

  • End to end Accounts Payable
  • Cashiering
  • General ledger processing
  • Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Business operations support and improvement
  • Administration and filing
  • Opportunity to learn other roles including accounts receivable, payroll and purchasing
  • Ad hoc duties as directed by the Financial Controller

To be successful in this position you will need to possess the following:

  • Minimum 2 years Accounts Payable experience
  • While not essential, Tertiary qualifications in Business/Accounting with a minimum of a Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting will be looked at favorably
  • Experience with Accpac accounting software and Opera PMS, desired but not required
  • Understanding of GST
  • Excellent computer literacy including sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Numerical experience and strong analytical skills
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers, team members and Senior Managers
  • Strong problem-solving ability
