An opportunity exists for an experienced Banquet Operations Manager to join one of Brisbane's most recognised properties. Royal on the Park Hotel is located in the CBD, opposite the Botanic Gardens and carries a rich history.

Expectations of the role:
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager, Conference & Events team and Sales & Marketing team to deliver weddings, conferences and events with your own style
- Assist the Food & Beverage Manager to meet operational and financial budgets
- Manage profit and loss by following cash control and security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labour and reviewing and writing financial reports
- Lead, train and develop Banquet Operations team members
- Support reward and recognition within the department to maintain employee engagement and motivation
- Manage all activities and events for the department, before and after each event
- Liaise with clients before, during and after each event to ensure operational details and logistics are met
- Provide guest service and complaint resolution
- Maintain accurate service and positive guest relations and ensure product offerings meet company quality standards
- Ensure the Work Health & Safety Act and company safety and security policies are met
What we need from you:
- Someone forward-thinking who can continue to lead and develop our close-knit team
- A leader who builds relationships between front of house and back of house to support coordination and excellence of the team
- Experience in a similar role within a hotel environment is preferred
- The right personality to add value to our existing model, make it your own and move the operations forward for the coming years
