We strive towards improving the health and wellbeing of our rural communities and believe in creating opportunities so all Victorians have the choice to access essential primary health care services. About the roleRFDS Victoria are now accepting applications for position of Program Support Officer (GP and Allied Health). This Program Support Officer (PSO) role provides administrative support for multiple rural health care programs such as Rural Women’s GP service, Doctors in Secondary Schools, Mobile Eye Care, RFDS Speech Therapy and others. The programs are key to RFDS Victoria’s vision to bring health care services to those who are otherwise unable to access them.The PSO takes a detailed, hands-on approach to operational coordination including travel logistics, health practitioner liaison, stakeholder relationship management and finance processing to ensure effective and timely delivery of a range of primary health care services. They have responsibility for establishing and maintaining collaborative, productive working relationships with program and community stakeholders and ensuring excellence and continuous improvement in program delivery to the communities who need them.With direction from the Health Services Manager, the PSO will be involved in some service planning and there will be future prospects of the role developing to incorporate project and program coordination. Position Tasks and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage procedures, protocols, forms, data sheets and marketing material in relation to the specific programs and primary health in generalManage the induction, travel, accommodation and other program delivery needs of the relevant health practitionersFacilitate patient flow and appointments (where relevant) for programs including:Managing and facilitation of available appointments and bookingsTracking of bookings and medicare billingProcessing of Medicare billing (where relevant)Work with partners to deliver primary health care services including assisting with promotion of health programs to patients, stakeholders and other relevant partiesLiaise with marketing staff to develop necessary program promotional and educational materialsAssist with consumer and stakeholder feedbackManage the activity of health care practitioners, which incorporates data entry, analysis, and provide reports on a regular basis including progress against agreed parameters and desired outcomesAdministration and other tasks as directed by the Senior Health Services Manager.If this sounds like the right opportunity for you please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role and address the key selection criteria via the Apply Now button by COB 28th January 2022.Applications will be assessed as received and only applicants shortlisted for an interview will be contacted directly.RFDS is committed to creating a diverse working environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employerPosition Description AUD Richmond 3121
