Full Time Maximum Term Contract to 30th June 2023Generous Salary Packaging - Not For Profit Iconic OrganisationThe OrganisationProudly serving Australians since 1928, the Royal Flying Doctor Service provides emergency aeromedical and health care services for people in rural and remote regions across Australia. The PositionThe Flying Doctor Wellbeing program provides clinical services to individuals with mild to moderate mental health problems, in multiple locations across rural and remote communities in Victoria. The role is based in Richmond.The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations related to the Flying Doctor Wellbeing program throughout Victoria. This program plays an integral part in supporting RFDS Victoria’s vision to bring health care services to those who are otherwise unable to access them.The Program Support Officer takes a detailed, hands-on approach to supporting the operational coordination of the program, including management of client referrals and appointments, travel logistics, communications, stakeholder relationship management and finance processing to ensure effective and timely delivery of a range of primary health care services.The PSO will provide operational support to the Team Leaders and Health Service Manager to deliver a high-quality service and ensure excellence and continuous improvement in program delivery to the individuals and communities we serve. The role also assists with service planning, quality management and reporting activities.ResponsibilitiesAdministration tasks such as managing client appointments and referralsSupporting the development and management of procedures, policies and protocolsDeveloping service promotion and educational materials in collaboration with the RFDS communications and marketing teamCoordinating the travel and accommodation of the mental health cliniciansAssisting with staff induction, onboarding and other program delivery needsData entry and invoicingAssistance with internal and external reporting requirementsSupporting clinical safety and quality initiatives as well as risk management processes.Qualifications and ExperienceQualification or relevant experience in administration and/or program support.Experience in client management and/or customer service  Demonstrated understanding of communicating with people experiencing mental health issues or concernsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and troubleshootStrong initiative and drive with a view to continuously improve programsExcellent attention to detailCommitment to excellent customer service and the provision of a person-centred serviceAbility to work in a team environmentHolder of a current Victorian driver's licenceDesirableKnowledge of/ and or experience working in the mental health sector or health related programsKnowledge of rural healthPlease submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role and address the key selection criteria via the Apply Now button by 16th September 2022Applications will be assessed as received and only applicants shortlisted for an interview will be contacted directly.RFDS is committed to creating a diverse working environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer AUD Melbourne 3000
