Program Support Officer – Dental

We strive towards improving the health and wellbeing of our rural communities and believe in creating opportunities so all Victorians have the choice to access essential primary health care services. The RoleRFDS are seeking a Program Support Officer to join our Dental team and provide exceptional support to the Flying Doctor Dental Clinic (FDDC) in Victoria. The FDDC provides oral health education, screening and treatment for people living in rural communities using mobile and fixed dental clinics. This is a permanent part time opportunity (0.7 FTE) based out of our Richmond head office.Working closely with the Dental Management Team, the Program Support Officer - Dental will take a hands-on approach to various administrative and project related tasks including managing patient appointment bookings, travel and accommodation logistics, stores ordering, processing of invoices, reporting, liaising with various stakeholder groups and other ad hoc duties as required.About YouWith an already established background in administration or program support, you are organised with a keen eye for detail and take pride in the quality of your workYou consistently provide amazing customer service to patients and other stakeholdersYou have excellent computer skills and are able to grasp new systems and programs quickly and with ease (especially Microsoft Office)Attitude is everything – you approach daily tasks with a positive outlook and are willing to learn and contribute to the teamYou’re a problem solver and have experience with troubleshooting and issue resolutionYou possess a strong sense of initiative and self-motivationYou understand the importance of organisations like RFDS and are able to demonstrate a community minded approach to your work.You thrive in a team environmentExposure to Medicare billing is a bonus, but not essential.If this sounds like the opportunity you’ve been looking for and you’re passionate about making a difference to the lives of regional and rural Victorians, then send through a copy of your resume and a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role by COB Friday 22 October.Please note applicants must have full, unrestricted Australian working rights and will be required to provide a satisfactory police check and Victorian WWCC if successful.Due to the large volume of applications received RFDS will only be contacting those shortlisted for interviews.
