Work for a reputable charity breaking down the barriers to accessing healthcare, wellbeing support and social connectionSupport Senior Management Enablement by ensuring optimal staff schedulingPermanent, full-time position located in Essendon with flexible hybrid working conditions The OrganisationProudly serving Australians since 1928, the Royal Flying Doctor Service provides emergency aeromedical and health care services for people in rural and remote regions across Australia. Mobile Patient Care (MPC) is a service division of RFDS Victoria, providing non-emergency patient transport services in both rural and metropolitan locations across VIC and NSW. The positionThe position of Lead – Resource Implementation, supports the Senior Manager Enablement by ensuring optimal staff scheduling function is in place with a strong focus on cost effective staff scheduling and resource planning, while remaining cognisant of staff wellbeing and operational needs.Via effective leadership and collaboration, the Lead – Resource Optimisation will oversee the application of operationally and industrially appropriate solutions that are responsive to a rapidly changing environment and in keeping with RFDS Vic industrial, contractual, and regulatory obligations. Key accountabilities include:Modelling high level leadership attributes and conducting self professionally at all timesLeading the development and maintenance of master rosters for a large group of staff in an industrially complex environmentProactively identifying and resolving resourcing and rostering issues or being able to address the same under guidanceCollecting data, undertaking basic analysis and preparing simple reports on behalf of the Senior Manager EnablementContributing to resource management and rostering policy and procedure developmentCoordinating and leading local communication and consultation related to resourcing and rostering, including providing regular, accurate and timely guidance on requirements Skills and knowledge required:Experience managing and leading teams in industrially complex environmentsStrong problem-solving skills supportive of developing 24/7 operational rostersExperience with rostering software EMPlive and WorkForceSkilled in use of Power BI and MicroSoft packagesWorking knowledge of business continuity planning desirableWorking knowledge of non-emergency patient transport regulations desirable This is an exciting opportunity to work for an iconic Australian charity that promotes a supportive and inclusive working culture, offers a flexible working environment and exciting employee benefits.RFDS offers a competitive salary with salary packaging options.
