Outside School Hours Care Coordinator


The RoleExpressions of interest are invited for the position of Outside School Hours Care  Coordinator to lead the before and after school care programme at the Junior School (boys) for students from Prep to Year 6. The Coordinator works in a hands-on role in the programme, from Mondays to Fridays 7.15am to 9.15am and 2.30pm to 6pm during school term times, with paid school holidays.Reporting to the Head of Junior School (boys), duties include:developing and leading an engaging and safe programme of indoor and outdoor activities that support the School's Culture of Thinking and student care and wellbeing.leading and overseeing day to day programme development, implementation and evaluation of a high quality serviceprogramme administration, including rostering and liaising with Accountsleading and developing a team of staff in the day to day running of the  programme and acting as a role model in the programme performing the role of Nominated Supervisor, ensuring the program meets the NQS and relevant frameworks and the diverse needs of all children.The successful applicant will be suitably experienced and passionate about working with children. You will be committed to student care and wellbeing, have a strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations, excellent written and verbal communication skills to lead and motivate staff. You will have a demonstrated ability to lead quality program planning and improvement. As a first point of contact for children, parents, carers and the staff, you will also be adept at building positive relationships with all members of the school community. You will hold a relevant qualification, such as a Diploma in Children’s Services or Bachelor of Education, current first aid qualifications and Working With Children Check.
