Each dedicated space is staffed by highly experienced and qualified early childhood teachers and educators in bright, friendly and safe surroundings.Our curriculum caters for the important cognitive, social, emotional and physical needs of each child, and has been designed to encourage creativity, questioning, problem solving, social skills and self-confidence. The RolePenleigh and Essendon Grammar School is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and caring Kindergarten Assistant to support our four-year-old co-educational Kindergarten programme.There is an opportunity to join the Kindergarten programme in a full-time ongoing position, commencing as soon as possible. Your working days will be Monday to Friday, with working hours as 8am to 4pm. Duties may include:Assisting in the running of sessions as directed, helping to ensure the needs of all children are catered for, and assisting all children in reaching their potential. Monitoring children’s well-being in a vigilant and responsible manner and reporting any matters of concerns in accordance with school procedures.Assisting with the preparation, set up and cleaning up of experiences, ensuring the room is well presented at all times.Supporting children with additional learning needs, as required. Supporting a positive environment in the kindergarten that is respectful of all present and fosters a love of learning.You will be suitably experienced and qualified (eg. Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services), have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a small team.
