eLearning Facilitator


The RoleExpressions of interest are invited from innovative, collaborative teachers to work alongside classroom teachers to support and guide them to learn, adopt and embed technology that enhances teaching and student learning outcomes.Reporting to the eLearning Coordinator, you will be a qualified primary or secondary teacher with a passion for technology, but you may not necessarily have a teaching method in digital technology or ICT.This is a full time maternity leave replacement role, commencing as soon as possible, until the end of the 2020 school year. Key duties:Provide practical in-class support and guidance to P-12 teachers in the integration of educational technology in teaching and learning activities Undertake teaching/team teaching with a focus on coding and the use of applications and other technologies Assist with the development of planning documentation and training materials to support eLearning throughout the school Organise and facilitate teacher workshops, one on one and small group training to improve the use of eLearning technologies Contribute to the management and use of the school’s learning management system and train staff in utilizing the system and eLearning subscription servicesYou will have:Outstanding teaching practicePrimary or secondary teacher qualifications, with current VIT registrationApple Distinguished Educator, Google Educator or Microsoft Innovative Education Expert accreditation would be of benefitRelevant experience driving technology initiatives for teachers and studentsExcellent communication and presentation skillsA strong understanding of current and emerging technologies and tools and how they can be integrated into the P-12 curriculumA sound knowledge of contemporary pedagogyWell-developed writing skills, with experience developing training materials and resourcesA proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to build trusting and respectful relationships and enable cooperation and engagement amongst staffA commitment to child safety, demonstrating an understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children with diverse needs and backgroundsA current criminal record check and eligibility to work in Australia. The SchoolPenleigh and Essendon Grammar School has over 2800 students from K-12 at campuses in Moonee Ponds, Essendon and Keilor East.
