The Role
An exemplary leader of sport is sought for this senior position to lead and manage all aspects of the secondary sports programme for over 1800 students from Years 7 to 12 and oversee the administration of the school’s co-Âcurricular programme.
The Director of Sport (including Co-curricular Administration) is responsible for the effective organisation, development, and management of practices and processes of all secondary sporting experiences. Reporting directly to the Principal and the Vice Principal and liaising with Heads of Sections, you will lead a team to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the school’s sports programme and also provide sound administration of the co-curricular programme across the Middle Schools and Senior School.
Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School (PEGS) is a member of the AGSV and over 1800 students (boys and girls) compete in weekday and weekend sporting competitions.
The successful candidate will be passionate about sport and able to build student engagement with the sports programme. He or she will have excellent organisational, administrative and planning skills and the ability to liaise effectively with students, staff, internal and external coaches and parents. He or she will also be expected to support the school’s aims, policies and procedures and the philosophy of a school associated with the Uniting Church.
