Speech Pathologist


The RolePenleigh and Essendon Grammar School is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech Pathologist to work across our Junior Schools at the Moonee Ponds and Essendon campuses supporting our kinder and primary aged students through assessment, intervention and collaborative support planning. This is a part-time (0.4 to 0.6) ongoing opportunity for a Speech Pathologist to join a leading independent school and deliver high-quality speech pathology services and demonstrate a strong commitment to student wellbeing.Key responsibilitiesProvide assessment, intervention and support for students with speech, language and communication needs.Prepare reports and recommendations based on formal and informal assessments.Work collaboratively with staff, families and external professionals to support student outcomes.Contribute to multidisciplinary planning, transitions and inclusive practice.Maintain accurate records and manage a diverse caseload effectively.The successful candidate will demonstrate they have:Approved speech pathology qualification and eligibility for, or current membership with, Speech Pathology Australia.Experience in assessment and intervention with children, ideally in an education or child-focused setting.Strong communication, organisation and collaboration skills.Commitment to child safety and the ability to work within school policies and professional standards.A valid Working with Children Check and relevant compliance requirements, or willingness to obtain them.The SchoolPenleigh and Essendon Grammar School has approx. 3000 students from K-12 at campuses in Moonee Ponds, Essendon and Keilor East. The Role
