The Kindergarten ProgrammeThe full day coeducational programme at Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School, Essendon campus is focused on engagement, creativity and delight.  It supports four to five-year-old children and each dedicated kindergarten space is staffed by highly experienced and qualified early childhood teachers and educators in bright, friendly and safe indoor and outdoor surroundings.The curriculum caters for the important cognitive, social, emotional and physical needs of each child, and has been designed to encourage creativity, questioning, problem solving, social skills and self-confidence. The RoleApplications are invited for suitably experienced and qualified Kindergarten Teachers with a caring and contemporary outlook for a full time ongoing position commencing as soon as possible. Duties include:Running sessions that ensure the needs of all children are catered for, to assist all children in reaching their potential. This includes supporting those with additional learning needs;Planning and implementing curriculum to support children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development and encourage creativity, questioning, problem solving, social skills and self-confidence;Evaluating and improving the program and practices to provide high quality learning and development outcomes;Leading the team of educators in the room and establishing a positive environment which is respectful of all and fosters a love of learning and care and wellbeing;Working collaboratively with staff, parents and specialists as required to support children's development and wellbeing.The successful applicant will have:Relevant experience Suitable qualifications (Bachelor of Early Learning or higher) and VIT registration An understanding of and commitment to contemporary practices in early childhood Excellent communication skills to liaise with children, staff and parents/guardiansAn ability to work effectively in a small teamA valid Working With Children Check, National Criminal Record Check and current first aid qualification, including anaphylaxis. The SchoolPenleigh and Essendon Grammar School has over 2900 students from K-12 at campuses in Moonee Ponds, Essendon and Keilor East.
