Join a high quality sports programExcellent facilities and high quality staffKeilor East campusPenleigh and Essendon Grammar School (PEGS) seeks an experienced and dedicated Football Coordinator to support the effective running of a high quality Australian Rules Football programme for secondary boys and girls. The Football Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Director of Sport, Coordinators of Sport and the First XVIII Coach and will:In consultation with the Director of Sport and Coordinators of Sport, develop a three to five year plan for the development of the sport;Be regularly involved with training and games;Supervise the selection of teams at all levels;Arrange coaches for the AGSV and AGSV/APS Football programmes;Arrange football camps and additional training sessions, as required and in consultation with the Director of Sport;Work in collaboration with the First XVIII coaches, including identifying potential students to be considered for General Excellence Awards;Organise and implement coaching development sessions at the commencement of each season for staff and other coaches; andLiaise with staff, coaches, students and parents in regard to the football programme.Hours of work are estimated to be approximately 140 hours in total and needs will vary across the school year, with peak hours during Terms One to Three and minimal work during Term Four. The Football Coordinator is expected to attend at least three afternoons per week during training seasons and Saturday competitions and other times as agreed.This is initially offered as a fixed term position for 12months. The successful applicant will have: Football playing and coaching experience (to preferably include formal coaching accreditation(s))Effective organisational and administrative skillsAbility to liaise effectively with others (ie. staff, students, parents, coaches)Good time management skillsA commitment to child safety, demonstrating an understanding of appropriatebehaviours when engaging with children with diverse needs and backgroundsA valid Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain it. To ApplyPlease send a letter of application with a resume and the names of at least two referees to the Director of Human Resources, Ms Simone Fisher.Applications are due as soon as possible.Position Description AUD Australia - VIC Melbourne - All locations Western Suburbs Keilor East 3033
