Chinese Language Assistant

The Role

Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School invites applications for a Chinese Oral Language Assistant to support Chinese language teachers in providing oral language experiences for VCE students and preparation for oral examinations.

This is a replacement casual position working approximately 12-15 hours per week, commencing from Term One 2025.

Selection Criteria

Applicants must display the following:

• Fluent Chinese language skills that would allow the incumbent to communicate at the level of a native speaker
• Relevant experience assisting/tutoring Chinese language to secondary school students
• Knowledge and understanding of Years 11 and 12 general conversation and  examination requirements 
• Proficiency in English
• A valid Working With Children Check (employee status)
