Casual Learning Assistants – Junior Schools


The RoleApplications are invited from suitably experienced, qualified, enthusiastic and caring individuals to support student learning and well-being at the Junior Schools (Prep to Year 6), working in classrooms with individuals and groups of students under the guidance and supervision of the classroom teacher.This is a casual position working week days between the hours of 8am to 4.06pm as required. Duties may include:Assisting teachers in the preparation of program activities, including preparation and organisation of classroom resources, materials and equipmentMonitoring student well-being and reporting any matters of concernSupporting student learning in a broad range of activitiesUndertaking supervision duties outside of classroom activities, including playground, excursions, sports activities as requiredAssisting the teacher in maintaining a safe and positive learning environment for the studentsSupporting students with additional needs (eg, anaphylaxis, allergies, physical, or learning disabilities) and assisting students with additional needs in participating in school programsAttending and supporting a range of school events and activities as required.The successful applicants will have relevant experience, a Certificate III in Education Support or higher relevant qualification, current first aid accreditation and a valid Working With Children Check (Employee). The Role
