Biyamarr ma Traineeship Program (expression of interest)

Our Menzies Biyamarr ma traineeship program provides an entry-level employment opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people located in Darwin, Northern Territory.The traineeship is undertaken through full-time employment at Menzies for 12-18* months where the trainees complete a nationally recognised qualification at a Certificate III level.Our qualification offerings are:Certificate III in BusinessCertificate III in Laboratory SkillsCertificate III in Community Services**We are really excited to also offer all trainees in 2022 the opportunity to complete a Certificate II in Community Health Research!Traineeship essential criteria:Successful completion of Year 12 Passion to learn more about health researchCommitment to work and study full-time Commitment to learn and actively participate in program activitiesBe a positive and reliable team memberGreat communication skillsProficient with literacy and numeracyPast trainees have worked in corporate and health research teams at Menzies with a focus on areas such as Meliodosis (in our Laboratory), Hepatitis B, Rheumatic Heart Disease, Mental Health, Alcohol, Other Drugs & Gambling and Business Operations. As a trainee you are placed in a project team at Menzies learning valuable on the job skills. Group Training Northern Territory (GTNT) are your employer and Menzies is your host business.
